At the end of the twentieth century, somewhere between 1980 and 1995, began one of the great revolutions in human history: the information revolution and New Digital Era. This revolution is not specific to a particular nation or a particular area, but affects all humanity. The course will discuss the influence of the Internet revolution in all spheres of life: economy, labor market, society, nation-states, ideology, education, relationships, romantic relationships, family, communication and so on. Media across the globe have been focusing on a “Twitter Revolution” in Iran as hundreds of thousands of street protestors purportedly mobilized their demonstrations using the microblogging service. Our student Larissa Aronyan says: “It is very comprehensive course which makes you think about everyday issues and connects between them until you see the picture in whole. This course has a brilliant ability to simplify things bringing parallels and comparisons and build a whole world of explanation. I enjoyed the course very much!” | Lessons outline
